From Nick and Chad

As the owners and primary staff of BGB, we have decided to come out from behind the curtain. As many of our readers are aware, we have been producing BGB for over two years now. We very rarely have shared our own thoughts and opinions – possibly at our own detriment. Why, you may ask, have we stayed behind the curtain of technology and hot men?

Well, first we are not very gifted writers like so many of our blog brethren. Our readers whom we honor through this site are so much better at saying many of the things that we wish we could as clearly and brilliantly.

OK – we are not trying to kiss ass, but simply be honest…really!

Our realization? We have now shared a disclaimer about our writing talent (or lack thereof) and will boldly share through writing as often as we have the courage…we promise.

Second, we are afraid – we hide behind the curtain because we read the negative comments on our own and other blogs that talk badly about BGB…and we take it to heart…deeply. We are afraid to share our humanity and personality for fear of getting our feelings hurt even more.

Our realization? We know we can't please all of you all the time. There are over 12,000 individuals who visit us daily and chances are we are going to piss someone off. We have just hired some hunky body guards and now will be bold in our thoughts and honest in who we are.

Third, we are geeks. We started (and continued) this website because we like the whole concept of blogging…in large part because we see an evolving community of gifted gay men who like to use computers to share their deepest, funniest, and craziest thoughts. We look at some of you and feel like the kids who will get picked last in gym.

Our realization? You are all a little Geeky too and we love you all for it!

So with these thoughts and realizations, we are proud to come out from behind the curtain and pledge to share more of ourselves with you all. As you know, we are working long tedious hours to bring a new design and architecture to be released this Spring. Please be patient with our staff as they try to reply to your requests, thoughts, snide remarks, and big hugs.

Let us close on this one honest thought. We recently read a blogger comment that BGB doesn't love them anymore. In this particular case we are actually HUGE fans of this blog and only then realized we haven't interviewed him or given him some attention on BGB. If you are a blogger who feels neglected by either of us or our staff and writing team…please send us an email. We don't share those emails with anyone and there is no shame in saying – "we want to feel the BGB love".
