From the About Page of VolaciousNet:
This is the part where I explain who I am, and what I am doing on this Internet-thingy.
By day I work as a Broadcast Engineer in the television industry, having just endured and thankfully completed 7 years of study. On the side, as you might have guessed, I’m a keen glider pilot, and attempt to compete every year in the Australian Junior Nationals Gliding Championships. I also dabble a little in music, tinkering away on the piano or attempting to improve my singing voice.
I’m an Aquarius star sign, which can make me fairly eccentric and moderately extroverted. I tend to have opinions on many things, but rarely have the time or energy to express them all!
Posted left is my partner, Adam, who I have been with since early 2004 and I absolutely adore. We are unashamedly one of those hopelessly sappy couples who do the whole “committment and romance” thing, something I have found is becoming more of a rarity these days.

From the About Page of Jared Walsh :
Right now I’m taking a hiatus from life. Enjoying some time off before heading to medical school and sacrificing the second half of my 20’s to the medical school gods. I’m mostly just enjoying going out with my friends, working to pay off my credit cards (who thought all the Abercrombie and Banana Republic excursions would add up to so much?), and hitting up bars, restaurants, and everything else Boston has to offer (especially BC football games).
Oh yea, I LOVE Family Guy:
Stewie: This isn't the first time my small stature has hindered my plans. [flashback]
Auctioneer: Item 157… Global Domination. Enslave the human race. Do I have any bids?
Stewie: OOH. OOH. ME. ME.
Auctioneer: I'll take any bids. $1. Enslave the human race for $1?
Stewie: BEHIND THE FAT CHICK. OOH. OOH.

From the About Page of Queer Love :
There is nothing more intimate or soul exposing than a love letter. For many, the written word is the best way to express their true feelings. Writing is the way by which we open ourselves up to the one person in the world we care the most about. It seems that the “love letter” is quickly becoming a dying breed by postal mail standards. Modern technology has given us email, cell phones, and instant message services that have gladly replaced the need for pen to paper. This blog is not taking a stand towards the downfall of technology. As a matter of fact we find all the different ways that love can be expressed amazing. So instead of damning modern times this project is working to bring the love letter back through it!
Queer Love was created to share love letters, written by queer individuals, with the world. The Blog’s mission is to share your love. Allowing the world to see just how “undifferent” our love, as gay individuals, truly is. Did he leave you a note before he left for work? Did she hide a love poem under your pillow? If you’re comfortable with the idea we would love for you to share these special words with the world.
We ask that you send your contributions and or questions to: QueerLoveAdmin@gmail.com
You can include your name in the email or remain anonymous. Feel free to send a letter you have written, one you’ve received, or perhaps an example of one you would like to be given. You can supply a back story with the letter, or simply the letter alone will suffice. Anything written down, with love as the intent, is a love letter. Be it a quick note, an IM, a poem, or even the lyrics to a song. If love was involved, given or received, we would love to share it for you. We would also love to see a few scanned copies of actual letters written on paper grace our email box!

From the About Page of My Gay Life:
I am a 22 year old single gay guy living in Indianapolis, Indiana.
I work for a major data analytics firm as a systems integration consultant. For the vast majority of you who have no idea what that means, I assist companies in creating their systems to analyze their data allowing them to make better business decisions. For the most of you still confused as can be, think about your grocery store card. Your Marsh Rewards Card, or your Kroger Plus Card, or whatever other card you may have. Why do these stores have these cards? They want to be able to analyze your buying habits. They want to be able to better spend their advertising dollars, try to determine if the store should be rearranged, be able to ask you at the register you didn’t buy any diapers today, do you need any? We help set up these type of systems (not the two I mentioned here, but similar ones).
I enjoy running, hiking, golf, tennis, volleyball, and of course other guys. I am not currently involved in any clubs or leagues in these sports, but hope to start playing them more frequently over the next year.
I am a gay Eagle Scout, and even though they rebuff me, I still feel scouting had a big influence in my life. It really has made me who I am today, and honestly had helped me decide against committing suicide when I was younger. Due to this, I will occasionally post an op ed on the scouts policy towards homosexuals and why I think it should change.
I am currently in the process of coming out, and if asked I will tell anyone. However, I am still unwilling to go up to most people I know and say “hey I am gay” unless they ask me. Because of this, outside of my readers there are only about 3 people who know I am gay, although I really do not try to hide it.
If you would like to get in contact with me directly, leave a comment indicating so. I will get back to you. Also, I moderate all comments, so if you submit a comment wanting to talk to me, and note in the comment you do not want anyone else to be able to see it, I will reply to your comment but not approve it for posting. This is my way to try to avoid posting my email address and have it harvested by spam robots.
You can read more about me in my posts of my life story here.

From the About Page of Big Yellow Taxi:
While I wait endlessly for fame and fortune to arrive, I spend my days eeking out a megre living teaching adults, with varying degrees of learning difficulties, to read, write and do maths in South Yorkshire in the United Kingdom. I spend my nights listlessly waiting for fame and fortune to knock on my bedroom window and whisk me away to somewhere sunny and with lots of beaches.
You could describe me as a 30 something, laid back kind of guy. I’ve seen too much in my life already to be shocked or phased by most things. I get sad, upset and angry when I come across cruelty to any living creature that has a leg count of less than 5. I love people watching in most situations, but preferabley with a drink in my hand, and find human beings a constant source of amusement, amazement and frustration.
Some of my friends have described me as “a dark horse” and “having more layers than an onion”. Contrary to what my friends say about me, I don’t think I’m complicated at all!
I’m a contributing author to other blogs, I have published works on both sides of the Atlantic, written non-fiction articles on sexuality for Helium, I’ve had short works of fiction published in 3AM-Magazine and on shortfiction.co.uk. and I am also a contributing writer to the UKs Mass Observation Project.
I’m constantly writing in one way or another and I’m thinking of having my keyboard surgically attached to the end of my fingers! One of these days I may even get a social life away from my computer…any offers are greatly appreciated.
On a final note, you may be wondering why “Big Yellow Taxi”? Well the answer is very simple. It just happens to be one of my all time favourite songs. It’s one of those songs that no matter who covers it, it still sounds good.

From the About Page of Daddy or Chips:
Hiya, I’m Enda and I’m having yet another go at blogging. I tend to bore myself or not get enough time, so this time, I’m putting up content. Other people’s content – in the form of delightful mp3s of music I want to share.
This is done purely in the spirit of enthusiasm about the music and the desire to introduce it to other people. All files are nasty horrid 128kbps mp3s that no one who has decent speakers and LOVES music can bear to listen to anyway. AND the links expire after a few days or a limited number of downloads. But, lawyer-types, I shall remove anything immediately if your clients don’t wish to avail of this modern form of marketing. We cool?

From the About Page of Media Cruiser :
Let me explain a little bit what MediaCruiser.org is setting out to do. This site will contain a number of posts, articles, essays, and reviews that discuss or critique the media in all its forms from a queer perspective. Basically, I am trying to put my lifetime of bitching at the media to good use. Queer perspectives are becoming increasingly visible, although they still seem to lack the kind of views that reflect my own generation’s experience. This site is for anyone who can recite Jack McPhee’s coming out poem, was too young to get the gay refs in Clueless, or has ever felt uncomfortable in an Adam Sandler movie.
Hopefully, Media Cruiser will contain posts from a number of contributors, and anyone that has any interest in helping out with the site is more than welcome to contact me and do so.
Let’s go cruising!

From the About Page of Lika Starr:
Born and raised in Texas. I’ve traveled the states from coast to coast. I lived in Chicago for a few years yet I prefer the West Coast. Somehow I always ended up back in Texas for one reason or another. I am currently residing in Dallas, TX.
Being from a conservative state that eats its own if you don’t fit the bill I’ve had to learn the hard way to speak my mind and tell it like it really is. Something I’ve become quite accomplished at doing and sometimes mistaken as sarcasm when in reality it’s just survival.
I lived a secret life in the closet for far too long and have just recently came out as a gay man under 2 years ago. Life’s been a struggle in that respect but at least now I can stand up and be proud! I am an activist for both human rights and our country’s freedom. I am very interested in politics, entertainment and sub-cultures.
Professionally I am a Quality Assurance Analyst and have worked for big company giants like Southwestern Bell, Verizon and AT&T.
I’ve also been successful as a builder in Second Life where I’ve constructed 3-D worlds for companies and individuals looking to commercialize in the ever growing online virtual world known as Second Life.
More recently, I’ve enjoyed blogging with friends on the internet and have started my own blog at LikaStarr.com. I’ve been published in print by our local alternative paper in Dallas, The Dallas Observer. I’m not sure if my words were reviled or revered. In any case I can stake claim as a published author even if my articles were thrown in the trash can 120,000 times on more than one occasion!

From the About Page of Jerry Timms:
An “About Me” page seems almost redundant here, because if you’ve taken some time to read my blog you already know quite a lot. But let me see if I can summarize a bit, without all the drama of my day to day observations.
I’m from Southern California, but I’ve been in Arizona since 1994 when I came out here for university at ASU. I majored in Political Science and minored in Philosophy. I was in a fraternity, and my “pledge son” is still my best friend. I still keep in touch with many of my college friends.
After graduating I began a career in the IT industry, which was an evolution from my work designing websites for political campaigns. That work supported me through college, and became a much more desirable career after college when I found out that government and non-profit work paid barely above the poverty level. I ran my own political consulting firm for awhile with a business partner that I met through my work at the Democratic Party headquarters. We specialized in website design for Democratic candidates, but also dabbled in traditional media like those annoying postcards you get in mail. Some won their races, but most lost because this is still Arizona and Democrats don’t do very well outside of Tucson and Central Phoenix.
These days I’m a bit more involved in internet marketing than actual website design, but I still enjoy it all nonetheless. I’m running my own consulting business again, but this time I’m on my own – and it’s working out a thousand times better, having learned many lessons from my past venture. All of my clients are retail businesses, as I’ve pretty much had it with cash poor candidates who can’t pay their bills.
I work from home, which means that I’m usually dying to get out of the house by the end of the week. So I go out to restaurants, movies, clubs and bars quite a bit on the weekends. I have a great group of friends that I enjoy hanging out with. Most of us also travel together quite often, and if it seems like I’m always out of town…well, I am! It keeps me sane, and loving life.

"I am nothing special; of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts, and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough." – from "The Notebook" by Nicholas Sparks
