DNC Pisses Off Bilerico Blog

When the DNC denied “The Bilerico Project” credentials for the convention, but awarded to Towleroad, Bil Browning was anything but pleased. Bil thinks that Towleroad is a bit uppity in comparison to his own site.
Here is the gist of his complaint…
Towleroad is not known for racial diversity, trans inclusion, or its lesbian audience. It is a site for wealthy gay white men – the HRC demographic. Their advertising info reads “News. Entertainment. Gossip. Media. Art. Life. Most Unique Users: 500,000; 95% male; 85% US; 52% earn $75,000+; 40% earn $100,000+” Where was “politics” in that description? Did they pick up on the lack of women? What about the lack of average American salaries? Towleroad’s readers’ average salary is almost double the median annual household income. Household. Not one person.
Looks like some of the other blogs that picked this story up also have some opinions on the matter. This comment on Queerty cracked us up…
Don’t forget the other M on Towleroad, Mario Lopez. Everytime he shits he is on there lol.
We’ll leave the judging for someone else, but it is the story of the day it seems in gay political subculture.
