Hollywood police have put patrol officer Michael Verdugo on leave until the department determines whether the HGTV Design Star contestant appeared in a 1996 porn film. ”Verdugo has been placed on administrative leave with pay pending the outcome of a fact-finding Internal Affairs investigation,” Hollywood police spokesman Lt. I think its really unfortunate that this had to come up. He did that video back in 1996 over 12 years ago when he was 22. It seems he really tried to steer his life in a different direction since then. He has become a member of the Hollywood PD in Florida and for what it’s worth , he seemed to be doing a good thing on Design Star as well. Unfortunately he got cut in the 5th challenge. It will be interesting to see what Internal Affairs will do with the information and if he will resume his duties as a police officer.
