He may not have been named to the U.S. Olympic gymnastics squad, but Guillermo Alvarez has been raising our eye brows ever since the 2006 World Championships in Denmark. The 25-year-old Alvarez does a little bit of everything, with his favorite being the floor exercise. One of our favorites as well as we love to watch him spin. Watching him twist his sinewy muscles around the high bar with a hard dismount isn’t so bad either. Alvarez graduated from the University of Minnesota back in 2005. That year he earned NCAA Nissen-Emery Award, given to the top senior male gymnast in the country. That year at the Big Ten Championships he finished third in the All-Around competition and took home the title in the vault.
