The End of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell?

March 2 marked another historic date in the ongoing struggle for lgbt equality. Rep. Ellen Tauscher (D-CA) introduced legislation to repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”. This to ensure that all qualified Americans can serve openly in the military regardless of sexual orientation.

“This law has failed our country and our military for 15 years,” Rep. Tauscher (pictured) said in her announcement. “It harms military readiness and discriminates against patriotic young men and women who want to serve their country. It’s time for Congress to right this wrong.”

i strongly agree!! being gay isnt something you chose to be!! thats how your born!! nobody makes you that way!! &why should you be punished for simply being who you are!! what kind of world do we live in where we cant even opening speak of our sexual orientation because automatically several things we might want to do in life is just to much to ask for because were gay!! it just doesnt make sense to me!! why should a heterosexual have more rights than a homosexual!! cant we just let people be themselves. but instead we have people hiding themselves from the world because they want to get married or because they want to serve in the military!! and if they have to be straight to do it then fine ill do it! BULL SHIT!!!

Hoo-fuckin-yaa! I don’t see why the government would want a don’t ask don’t tell? I mean, no one wants to be in the army, and the ones that do, are being told that they can be themselves. So why the hell would a gay person want to join to go back in to secrecy? Stupid shit. Kthx.
