London – Evacuated !
February 4, 2010 by Jason Shaw
London Evacuated??? London, the UK’s capital city, the busy thriving metropolis, the seat of government and home of the Queen. It’s vibrant city with buildings older than some countries! London, is a wonderful capital city, steeped in history, it’s vibrant, cosmopolitan, expansive, and always so very busy and bustling.
Sometimes it’s easy to forget at how beautiful it really is and then something comes along and slaps a reminder right in your face like a poke in the ribs with a very sharp stick! This is one such time, but this is how you’ve not seen London before, taking his inspiration from the film 28 days later, IanVisits, a London based photographer takes a stroll around the city, seeing it as very few people ever do! Don’t worry, London wasn’t really evacuated, it was just early in the morning a couple of Christmases ago!

These images, and those on the following slide show, captivate me, intrigues me, although it’s also a little disconcerting and unsettling, there is something ominous about seeing these places, these usually bustling places, so empty, desolate, devoid of human life.
