Okay so we’ve all seen so-called former gays (ever notice there are no former lesbians or bis) who have websites and expound how great, wonderful and complete their life is now that they have accepted the High and Mighty and are no longer gay?

REALLY !!

Meet Adam Hood one of the latest “I am longer” assholes who has done the video below in a series of videos at a website called Recycle Your Faith. Now if this queen, former or otherwise doesn’t look like he’s a part of the new season of “True Blood” (the season which got gayer) then I’m Truman Capote!

Stuff: One Time at Straight Camp

There’s a great post over at Stuff that talks about the horrors of “straight camp”. You know, the places where LGBT kids are sent by parent who refuse to acknowledge their kids are different from them.

According to the post:

Something I’ve always been both amused and horrified by is the concept of “Straight Camp”. In the US, these are places that parents can send their kids when they tell them they’re gay for the purpose of – and I quote – “finding freedom in Jesus Christ from sexual and relational sin”. What the f**k?!

Personally, I see such places as thinly veiled concentration camps where people who are struggling with their identity are brainwashed to live a lie; they should be outlawed.

Opposing Ex-Gay Activist

For at least a decade, the antigay political organizations Focus on the Family and Exodus International have promoted the myth that their opposition believes sexual orientation is determined by a single “gay gene.”

This claim has never been true of most researchers nor of most equality advocates, but that lie — a strawman argument — is useful to ex-gay scam artists because it distracts potential supporters of the ex-gay movement from three unpleasant facts:

* No reputable scientific survey has found sexual orientation to be either chosen or changeable in most persons
* Most persons who claim to be ex-gay later admit they were always attracted to the same sex and had never “left homosexuality.”
* Ex-gay programs injure their participants, give false hope to spouses, poison parental relations, and divide families.
