As more governments approve same-sex marriage laws, officials here are hoping to attract a growing part of the tourism market: gay honeymoons.

The first couple to wed under Argentina’s recent law allowing same-sex marriages nationwide arrives in Mexico this week on an all-expenses-paid trip — part of a new push by the government in Mexico City, Mexico to woo gay travelers.

“We hope that many same-sex couples who get married around the world spend their honeymoons here,” says Alejandro Rojas, the city’s tourism secretary.

SRETAN USKRS… we cannot exactly recall how these came to be the first Croatian words we learned to say as we have never been to Croatia and certainly never had any formal Croatian linguistic training. to our ears, the holiday greeting carries no notion of mild spring air, Easter eggs, blooming flowers or bunnies. however, one evening while enjoying a Bavarian dinner at the Hofbrauhaus in Munich around Easter a few years ago, we found ourselves surrounded by 20 middle aged women who did not speak any English or German. logically, we started a conversation of laughter and hugs when we saluted with our beers and sung the words, sretan uskrs! after this experience we thought that it is inevitable that we make our way to the Dalmatian coast.

The Pacific nation has organized its first openly gay “rainbow party” for wealthy gay tourists from around the world in a bid to bolster tourism, Tahiti Press reports.

“I want Tahiti to become a gay-friendly destination”, said party organizer Arnaud Anjou.

“These visitors come from the entire world, from Australia, Mexico, New Zealand, France, Norway and so on. They have a high standard of living”.
