I remember being thrilled when Charlize Theron announced that she wouldn’t become legally wed until everyone in America had the right to wed the one they love and hoping that others would show this type of commitment to equality as well.
Well, it may be a slow progression, but it does look as though another ally of the LGBT community has committed to wait until equality prevails to exchange vows.
According to a post on Entertainment Today:
Jason Mraz and Tristan Prettyman got engaged in December. But the singer says the couple likely won’t walk down the aisle any time soon.
The singer told attendees at the Concert to Benefit the American Foundation for Equal Rights this week that he’s waiting until marriage is legal for all sexual orientations before he takes the vows.
