Carlos Arias was born to photograph men. And aren’t we lucky he was! His models and art direction are fresh, and there’s not a blond in the bunch. VERY fresh.

The NY-er (via Mexico) is largely self-taught, and creates all aspects of his shoots — model selection, location and set design, styling/makeup, and post-production of the images. And at 23, he’s just getting started.

Tom Bianchi is not the best photographer in the world, and he’ll tell you that himself. “What I don’t know about photography would fill many, many volumes,” he said to Sam and me this past weekend, with a humble grin. He is however, a great artist who, for decades, has worked with subjects to create and capture moments that translate into beautiful, iconic images.
