Brief interlude whilst moving all the furniture around the flat, as the decorators repair the damage cause by the shop downstairs (BASTARDS!). The living room is looking great, but the kitchen looks like a squat. So, to calm the nerves and get some R&R, old movies are dug out. I have a BIG thing for films from the 30s, 40s and 50s. I could bore you rigid by making a list, but Facebook’s more the place for that. I’ll content myself with mentioning a few all-time favourites: The Haunting (the original, not the Catherine Zeta Jones nonsense); The Old Dark House (wierdly incestuous-ish Welsh thriller by James Whale); I Know Where I’m Going (romanticised and couthy view of Scottish island life and love); Bringing Up Baby…
