Tonight is going to be something special!

Members of the hate-filled, close-minded, controversial Westboro Baptist Church were spotted outside the HP Pavilion, carrying signs that criticized homosexuals and chanting about Lambert’s sexuality.

The season eight runner-up revealed his sexual preference in an interview with Rolling Stone last month, a few weeks after he finished second to Kris Allen on the Fox series.

Washington was released from his “Grey’s” contract two years ago after making anti-gay slurs at the Golden Globe awards and reportedly on the “Grey’s” set regarding a cast mate. He tells ET he doesn’t think about the judgments that some people might make about him, because “what has been purported about me has nothing to do with who I am.”

The NO H8 campaign was launched by photographer Adam Bouska and partner Jeff Parshley in opposition to the passage of Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage in California.
