Even though he’s gay, celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton, formerly known as Mario Lavandeira from Hialeah, Florida has decided he’s gonna stop being not to nice to.

Don’t believe it? Listen for yourself. Now let’s see if he keeps his word. (Betcha $20 he doesn’t) After all, he’s made himself out of being a bully!

Chelsea the Handler

Not much of a fan of the VMA’s really…in fact, do they actually show videos on TV anymore? But, I am a huge fan of Chelsea Handler, and much more so than that of Perez Hilton…or Mario, or whoever. The only thing I know, he’s the most overrated celeb gossiper on the web.

That’s why I was a bit thrilled to see Chelsea wasn’t about to take any sh*t from the “douchebag” (what Hilton called Fiddy recently) when he decided to blast her emceeing abilities during last night’s show.

According to a post on Lez Get Real, Hilton was being a bit of a twit as he tweeted:

I usually like her, but Chelsea Handler is sucking at the #VMAs – hard!

So Chelsea tweeted back

@perezhilton oh, fuck off. I had a blast and the show awesome last night. Bomb? Your life is a bomb.

Jessica Hates Perez

Jessica Simpson is coming to her family’s defense once again. The 29-year-old singer who called Melrose Place “crap” after her younger sister Ashlee was canned, is now going after celeb blogger Perez Hilton, who poked fun at her nephew Bronx.

On Friday, Bronx’s first birthday, Perez wrote: “It’s been one year since Asslee pushed Bronx Mowgli through her vayjayjay and it’s all the family is talking about!”

He then ended his post by calling Bronx a “poor lil’ thing” who “doesn’t stand a chance!!!”

ADVOCATE: OK, but what surprised me most about the incident was that it escalated after you confronted Perez about his negative coverage of you and your music on his blog. I was surprised you’d even care about one queen’s opinion.

FERGIE: Yeah, I did. Because when I see somebody I thought was my friend or starting to be my friend… [Sighs] When someone talks out of both sides of their mouth, it just makes me question their integrity.

Perez Going to Far

OK, this time I think Perez has gone too far with his website and blog. He’s very upset over Robbie Williams lying about why he didn’t go to the Europe MTV awards. Apparently Robbie Williams was making too many demands that went against what the MTV awards in Europe does for other stars. They claim that every other celebrity is treated the same.

So what if Robbie Williams wants to end his own career… Its not very mature for Perez Hilton to alter his pictures with such fowl profanity.

A Lie You Couldn’t Believe If You Were on Acid

Apparently Kathryn Jean Lopez, editor of National Review Online, has published a piece that credits beauty queen and former Miss California Carrie Prejean for “saving traditional marriage” and holding back the push for marriage equality.

I kid you not. Of course how Lopez accomplishes this is an old trick that I have seen the religious right do – take several unrelated incidents and link them together. The credibility of these claims generally depend on the emotions of the audience they are writing to.

Lopez is obviously a master of this because according to her after Prejean made her now infamous statement and had her brush up with gossip columnist Perez Hilton, the momentum started to shift against marriage equality.

Perez/Prejean Debate Continues

Twenty years ago, I watched an interview with Anita Bryant on Larry King where she claimed that the gay community had destroyed her career. “The very same thing they accuse me of doing to them, they did to me,” she said in a paraphrased burst of self-pity. It was apparently lost on her that she brought it on herself, that people will fight back and that her suffering was mild compared to the injury she inflicted on countless people who were already objects of hatred.

Perez Hilton (who I’d never heard of before this ridiculous beauty queen flap) strikes me as something of a jerk and a very bad “face” for gay marriage equality. But come on – the insults that Prejean has had to endure are mild compared to the vicious and hateful invective I’ve been subjected to for being gay my entire life. Hell, I get attacked and insulted more in five minutes on a chat room for being gay than Prejean has had to suffer since this entire affair began.

Britney, Miley & Heidi Tweet

Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears have taken to Twitter to support gay marriage, just days after Miss California Carrie Prejean sparked controversy during Sunday night’s Miss USA competition when asked by celeb blogger Perez Hilton if more states should legalize same-sex marriage.

Prejean stated her opinion that marriage should be between a man and a woman — and in the process has made an enemy of Hilton — but has also started a conversation among many notable celebrities on Twitter.

“Love is love!” Britney Tweeted to Perez. “People should be able to do whatever makes them happy!”

One Hot Mess

As mentioned last month, rapper DMX was in Miami waiting for Arizona authorities to pick him up as he has to face drug and animal cruelty charges there. Well, according to Maricopa County Sheriff’s officials, DMX has been transfered and is now in custody in a Phoenix jail.

He’s currently being held on a $25,000 cash bond.No trial date has been set yet for his many offenses.This has just been a year full of jail time and court cases for DMX.

Someone needs to go to rehab, and fast!
