When we think of gay icons, we typically think of things somehow associated with the “Wizard of Oz”, like Judy or Liza. Perhaps we think of Elton John and other famous people who are out of the closet.

But just because we may consider someone a gay icon, doesn’t mean they view themselves in that respect. Such as in the case of RuPaul.

According to a post on SabDesi:

ACTOR, drag queen, model, author, and singer-songwriter RuPaul doesn’t consider himself a gay icon.

The star of RuPaul’s Drag Race and RuPaul’s Drag U says it’s none of his business how people perceive him.

RuPaul’s Drag Race served up some country-fried fish as Ru put her barnyard full of drag chicklets through some ridiculous finger-lickin’ escapades, all as part of their big hayride to crown America’s Next Drag Superstar. What did we learn? For one: Don’t make fun of a big girl because while she may indeed win an eating challenge hands-down, that means you lose. Har-har to that!

RuPaul ‘goes vogue’ in a promo for the new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. This year’s guest judges include Kathy Griffin, Cloris Leachman, Debbie Reynolds, Tatum O’Neal, Jackie Collins, Henry Rollins, Kathy Najimy and Terri Nunn. The show premieres on February 1st at 9PT on LOGO.

My friends and I have never cried so much since tonight. When Ru Paul announced that Ongina was the winner of this weeks challenge and was the new spokesperson for Viva Glam (MAC cosmetics), none of was expecting the reaction that was about to come. Ongina says that this challenge meant so much to her and that she was afraid to say this on national T.V., but she has been living with H.I.V for the past two years and that her parents don’t even know.

ANOTHER GAY SEQUEL finds our heroes ANDY, NICO, JAROD and GRIFF reuniting at a gay resort in sunny Fort Lauderdale for Spring Break. They participate in a contest called ‘Gays Gone Wild!’ to determine who can attain the most ”buttlove” over the course of the vacation. Between Wet Package contests, Evil Gay Fratboys, and genital crabs the size of kittens, it’s a bumpy road to booty victory.
