Again the town of Torremolinos gives us some subject to talk about, it is already becoming a good habit. This time it is not for a theme of festive or promotional events, but for a breakthrough in rights of the transsexual collective.
In the past, transsexuals have suffered a stigma that has made it difficult for them to enter the labor market, being forced into prostitution or the world of entertainment as the only way out. More and more this collective is becoming visible and legislation is being established specifically for him.
Now the Ritual hotel in Torremolinos and the Association of Transsexuals of Andalusia (ATA) Sylvia Rivera have signed an agreement by which the Ritual Hoteles chain guarantees the training and hiring of transsexuals in its staff.
The Andalusian hotel chain already has experience in hiring transsexuals, but it turns out to be the first hotel company in Spain to acquire the commitment.
The association ATA-Sylvia Rivera has announced, through its president Mar Cambrollé, that they will continue working to get other hotel chains to acquire similar commitments, and thus help to expand the labor options of a group with so many difficulties in that area.
